Planning
The planning function of Maintenance Control is the main interface with our customers and any third parties involved in aircraft inputs. Planning acts as a central point of communication liaising with all parties before, during and after maintenance inputs to ensure the project runs smoothly from beginning to end.
The department has experience with both rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft maintenance and as a result has a very broad base of knowledge on how best to support both types of aircraft.
To liaise effectively in these situations careful monitoring of the input has to be undertaken and this too is carried out directly by our planners. The planners then produce progress reports for the customer so as they are kept fully up to date.
Outside of live maintenance inputs the planning engineers are responsible for answering the Maintenance Control telephone and providing advice and assurance to our customers. Managing and maintaining customer aircraft manuals, reviewing service bulletins and compiling back-up for quotations; all are activities of this busy sub-division.
