Strengthening the structure
Just five years ago the operations department at Harrods Aviation Luton was manned by 26 employees. Today 97 staff are needed to look after the volume of aircraft, crews and passengers transiting the 24-hour facilities.
Earlier this year strengthening measures were taken to ensure continuity for customers and support for the staff as the business continues to grow apace.
Most significantly these measures included the introduction of three managerial positions under the current base manager and general manager posts. The new positions of ramp manager, passenger manager and operations manager are working closely together to oversee the finer details on base and to provide a managerial presence seven days a week. The teams working under each manager have also been bolstered and in some cases restructured to cope with the additional workload from increased movements.
Customers of the Harrods Aviation Luton FBO facility should be assured that we continually monitor the effectiveness of our departmental structures. To this end further exciting changes to enhance the service we provide for our customers at Luton are planned for 2008 to coincide with occupation of the new facility. |
