Engine Shop Deputy Manager
Farnborough

Reporting to the Engine Shop Manager you will be responsible for the execution, planning and coordination of all engine shop work in progress, including the administration of the facilities and staff at Farnborough.


This will be both a hands on role as well as involving general managerial duties. You will be required to be involved in all aspects of the engine shop and its operation.


Candidates will have good people management and supervisory experience. You will need to demonstrate that you possess the necessary skills to carry out this role effectively and will have an outgoing personality, with the ability to motivate a team of people with varying levels of experience and backgrounds. Excellent communication skills, pro-active, enthusiastic and self-motivated will be essential attributes to being successful in this position.

Candidates must have an aviation background with formal engineering training; engine experience is preferred however training will be provided for the successful candidate.  The successful candidate will be required to work both on- and off-base and certify work under a workshop approval. An EASA license is not required but would be an advantage.

Operations Controller
Full time, Luton based

The role of Operations Controller is to ensure the quality and efficiency of the Operations Team when handling customer requests and communications. You will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Operations department with line management responsibilities for a team of Operations Assistants.

The role will also include correlating data for governmental and company use, flight monitoring and providing technical and administrative support including the processing of information using our in-house invoicing system.

The role is demanding and the successful candidate will be flexible and be able to work in a team covering extended shift periods according to the demands of the business. Essential qualities include excellent communication skills and the ability to prioritise workloads under pressure whilst upholding a professional manner to customers and colleagues at all times. Previous experience of managing a small team and experience of aviation operations would be advantageous.

Operations Assistant
Full time - initial 6 month fixed term contract, Luton based

The role of Operations Assistant is to assist with the smooth running of the Operations Department and provide support to the Operations Controller on a day to day basis.

Duties will include supporting and coordinating customer requirements, organising and actioning handling requests in a diligent manner. Liaising with and booking third party suppliers as required.

Candidates will need to be able to remain calm under pressure, work on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern and have the ability to prioritise. You should be able to work on your own initiative and have excellent interpersonal and organisational skills and a good sense of humour. Candidates should possess knowledge of aviation operations and have experience of dealing with administrative duties. Computer literacy would be an advantage.

Customer Service Agents
Full time, Luton based

Our Customer Service Agents are ‘the face of Harrods Aviation’; not only for all visiting crew but for our VVIP passengers. We require our agents to adopt a professional attitude at all times and to provide customer service that is second to none. They are required to be quick thinking and very adaptable, as the nature of our business often dictates unique requirements.

The role is often demanding, requiring our staff to be organised and able to coordinate and communicate with all other departments. They have to be multi-skilled; often having to undertake several tasks at once.

The successful candidates must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to prioritise. Candidates should ideally possess previous experience in a five star hospitality environment and must have held a full, clean UK driving licence for a minimum period of one year.

The successful applicant must be flexible and professional. You will be required to work as part of a team covering a 24-hour operation on a 4-on, 4-off shift pattern (days, lates and nights) which will include working weekends and bank holidays.
