EU Customs Legislation Change Harrods Aviation would like to advise all customers that UK HM Revenue and Customs will be implementing the latest change in EU legislation concerning the movement of cash leaving or entering the EU with effect from 15 June 2007.
The change in EU legislation will require all passengers leaving or entering the EU with 10,000 Euros or more, or the equivalent in any currency, to make a written declaration to Customs. The change in legislation is EU-wide and so is not specific to any one country, airport or group of travellers.
Harrods Aviation has met with HM Revenue and Customs to ensure measures are in place to enable customers to make this declaration. HM Revenue and Customs will supply the relevant forms to Harrods Aviation which will be kept in our passenger lounges for completion by passengers personally. The completed forms are private and can be deposited securely in a box, again provided by Customs and located within our lounges. These boxes will be cleared by Customs officers on a regular basis.
Harrods Aviation has no control over these changes but is committed to working with HM Revenue and Customs to ensure the most convenient options for compliance are available to our customers.
